KRV was initiated with generous funding from All Together Now International, ArtAction, Bestseller Fund, the COMO Foundation, The Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) (Government of India), Eileen Fisher, Project Marigold, UNESCO, and private donors.
 

We succeeded in raising the funds to cover the academic year of 2010! The Indian financial year spans between April 2010 and March 2011. To date we have received RS 2979,267 ($ 59,585), with two pledged grants yet to be cleared for the academic year just completed. This brings us close to balancing the budget for the current financial year. KRV relies entirely on donations. 3% of 2011’s funding so far is individual donations. Visiting Faculty

Kala Raksha Vidhyalaya seeks visiting faculty to teach in a range of topics.  Classes run for two weeks intensive on our residential campus.  We seek experience in design education, but more important we seek individuals ready to learn from artisans, and work in a team to develop a new institution.  We want teachers who come with the sense that, “I’ve never done this before!”
